Notice of Timeline for Issuance of Dental and Dental Hygiene Licenses for New Graduates
The Board will be issuing dental and dental hygiene licenses upon receipt of the final transcript for all completed applications, including passing of online exams and groundwork check results, Wednesday through Friday, May 25, 26 and 27.
Anyone who desires to pick up their license may do so at our office between the hours of ix:00 am and three:thirty pm on Tuesday, May 31. Our function will be airtight on Monday, May 30 for Memorial Day.

Congratulations to Dr. Edward J. Clemons, Jr. of Durham and Dr. Catherine A. Watkins of Winston-Salem who were elected to the two open positions on the NC State Board of Dental Examiners. On May 13, 2020, the NC State Board of Dental Examiners (the Board) voted to adopt two emergency rules which allow for temporary licenses for dentists and dental hygienists during a fourth dimension of emergency, equally authorized pursuant to S.L. 2020-iii, s. 4.38 and Chiliad.S. xc-28.5. New State Law Requires Opioid Prescribing Class

The Board of Dental Examiners is engaged in the process of periodic review of its rules nether N.C.G.S. 150B-21.3A. However, because the Board has already prepared its final report and would like to advance the process of streamlining its regulations, the Board has asked the RRC to reschedule its review of our terminal classifications for the rules to an earlier date. At its Oct 19, 2017 coming together, the RRC will consider whether to reschedule the RRC's review to an earlier appointment. The Lath has requested that the review occur at the RRC's meeting on November sixteen, 2017.

The only matter currently before the RRC is whether the review volition occur in Feb 2019, as scheduled, or on an earlier date.
